Nessun Dorma

Words aloud,

Crowd’s a cheer…

Crowd’s a silence.

Captivated, they will sleep tonight,

With dreams enraptured in your voice’s sound delight,

Chords of orchestra

And tenor’s might;

Lovers entangled,

Lovers entwined…

The plot will replay in their mind forever whenever opera plays in their mind,

And only then, will they not sleep — nessun dorma.

Music so heartfelt and sweet,

Even Turandot would concede….

Even Calaf would be pleased.

I ask:

Tenor, at the last breath, did you see god?

At the end, was there true bliss?

Crowd once a silence now again a cheer.
